ARRESTING THE RUINS OF ABA: GOVERNOR ALEX OTTI STEPS IN TO WIPE THE TEARS OF OHANKU RESIDENTS
Governor Alex Otti knows the pains of Ohanku residents, because, on many occasions, he crisscrossed the terrible terrains of the area, either to worship at some of the churches in the area, or to solicit for vote in 2015, 2019 and 2023 respectively. Of course he always wore his jungle shoes.
Ohanku is just the name of a rmajor road that connects hundreds of other roads and streets in that Ama Nmoñu corridor.
The Ohanku area is one of the most popular and populated areas of Aba, yet, one of the most neglected and underdeveloped.
When I visited the area to take these pictures and video, the guys that accompanied me couldn’t believe their eyes; they were shocked and speechless. They couldn’t believe that a people could be so neglected and isolated, yet, extorted by agents of different governments in the past.
When Ohanku and its environs are reclaimed, Governor Otti would have brought the sufferings of the people to an end. He would have revived businesses that collapsed for over two decades.The schools in these areas, especially, the famous Iheorji Secondary School that were deserted, would begin to come back to life. Costs of goods and items in the Iheorji market and other markets that skyrocketed due to the exorbitant cost of transportation, would begin to go down drastically, as access would cease to be a problem.
Hospitals that had since gone out of business would begin to reopen, just as residents would no longer fear for their lives in times of health emergencies.
The cultists, kidnappers and other criminal elements that saw the Ohanku area as either their operational safe haven or their most assured escape route, would be run out of existence.
Governor Alex Otti is carefully and conscientiously preparing Abia to begin to have the beauty, the alluring economic factors and the enabling environment to attract investors and investments that would have the propensity to ignite all-round development, that could open a powerful pathway for enduring economic prosperity for all citizens.
Ohanku residents were told to wipe their tears, because help was on the way, today, they gladly behold and feel the help at their doorsteps, courtesy of Governor Alex Otti's Midas touch.
